For many years I have sold other manufacturers computers and in all those years I have found one thing
to be common to all of them, they all are vulnerable to viruses. Why is that? Well, it's because they all primarily rely
on Microsoft for anything Internet related. If you use Internet Explorer you are open to viruses because most of the bad code(viruses,
malware, spam) is written around Internet Explorer. Is there a way to surf the web, social network with Facebook, MySpace,
play games and get email without the fear of being hacked? The answer is a YES.
We have spent the last 2 years working on a system that is virus proof and still allows you to use all the wonderful
programs from Microsoft and any associated software which operates through Microsoft code.
My line of computers is simply known as "joe"tm a fast, friendly, and if used in
the manner we designed it to be, Virus-proof.
How is this possible? Well,
we utilize what is known as a Dual-Boot. What exactly is a Dual-Boot? It is the utilization of two distinct operating systems
on one computer. Basically you have two computers sitting in one case.
In
order to make this a virus proof machine when working on the web we have incorporated Windows 7 home-Premium 64bit Edition
along with the open source OS of Linux Mint.
How does this work? When you
first start your computer you will be presented with 2 Operating Systems, Windows 7 and Linux Mint. If you are using programs
that require the Microsoft Operating System then you would pick Windows 7 but if you want to get online and not worry about
viruses, spam, malware or key-loggers then you would pick Linux Mint. There are no known viruses for Linux Mint thus you can
surf the web in peace and tranquility. Linux Mint by the way looks and operates a lot like Windows so there is absolutely
nothing to fear. It's a really easy system to use and it's probably the most beautiful OS to look at.
