GENERAL POLICIES

1. • Checks are not accepted

2. • Payment is expected in full any time a service is rendered or product is dispersed.

3. • Old Town Joe Computers reserves the right to deny any return based on condition of product or packaging, or reason for return.

4. • All sales are final. No refunds or Exchanges.

COMPUTER SERVICE AND REPAIR - IN OUR STORE

1. • A $25.00 refundable diagnostic fee applies to all computers brought in for repair. If repair is performed, the fee will be applied to your service fees.
If customer chooses not to have services performed, the $25.00 fee will be due upon pickup of computer or equipment.

2. • Computers, Peripherals, or any other personal property that has not been claimed within 30 days of drop-off date become property of Old Town Joe Computers.

3. • Old Town Joe Computers is not responsible for loss of data or programs on a customer’s computer. It is the customer’s responsibility to back up and protect their data on a regular basis. When we perform a complete system reformat, we make every effort to back up all necessary data per client’s instruction. However, on occasion, unexpected equipment failure can occur. We are not responsible for any data, files, e-mail, or software that is lost in the process, however we deeply regret any inconvenience in such event.

4. • Having a computer serviced at our facility is at your own risk. While we make every effort to ensure the security and privacy of your personal data on your computer, we cannot guarantee that such data will not fall in the wrong hands. It is the customer’s responsibility to remove any personal data that would be of concern if necessary prior to drop-off.

5. • Software Programs cannot be backed up, only reinstalled from their original CD or Diskettes.

6. • Full Payment is required at the time of pickup.

RETAIL PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

1. • All sales are final. No returns or exchanges permitted.

2. • Full Payment is required at the time of order for any special order with a retail value of $50.00 or greater. Payments made by Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express may delay your order 2 - 5 business days due to additional processing.

CUSTOM BUILT COMPUTERS & NEW LAPTOPS

1. • Full Payment is required for all Custom Built Computers and Laptop orders at the time of order - no exceptions.

2. • Please allow 7 to 10 business days to receive your Custom Built Computer or Laptop. Computers that are purchased using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express may be subject to an additional processing delay.

3. • Custom Built Computer or Laptop orders can be cancelled without penalty on the same business day of the order. Orders may not be cancelled after the initial order’s business day.

4. • Custom Built Computers or Laptops that are not claimed within 30 days of order date become property of Springfield Computers.

WARRANTIES

CUSTOM BUILT COMPUTERS & LAPTOPS - NEW

1. • All New Custom Built Computers designed and built by Old Town Joe Computers carry a standard limited 1 year manufacturer’s hardware warranty. Any components carrying more than 1 year manufacturer’s hardware warranty will be disclosed on the final bill of sale. Hardware replacements are subject to a 10 business day turn-around for parts ordering and delivery.

2. • Custom Built Computer hardware components that are replaced under the 1 year warranty will be replaced in our store with no service charges within the first 6 months of purchase. If other services are requested at the time of hardware replacement, service charges may apply.

3. • Custom Built Systems carry a limited standard 6 month service warranty by Old Town Joe Computers. System problems such as hardware replacement, system driver updates (excludes drivers associated with peripherals such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, etc.), and any programming issues relating to the original installation of the operating system and pre-packaged software. Spyware and virus infections, user neglect or error, and issues with third-party software installations are not covered under the 6 month service warranty. Old Town Joe Computers service warranty only applies to services performed at one of our service locations. On-site repair services during the 6 month service warranty period including pickups and deliveries will be subject to on-site service fees. Old Town Joe Computers reserves the right to deny a service request based on the eligibility of the service as noted in our warranty guidelines.

4. • Telephone support is provided to all Old Town Joe Computers customers within reason. However, to properly diagnose and repair most computer issues the computer will need to be evaluated in person by a Old Town Joe Computers technician.

PRE-OWNED AND REFURBISHED COMPUTERS

1. • All pre-owned and refurbished computers are sold as-is, with no hardware warranty stated or implied.

2. • Hardware failures within the first 30 days after purchase will be replaced at the cost of the hardware only, no service fees will apply to hardware replacements performed in our service center. Old Town Joe Computers reserves the right to deny a hardware replacement request based on the eligibility of the service as noted in our warranty guidelines.

3. • Telephone support is provided to all Old Town Joe Computers customers within reason. However, to properly diagnose and repair most computer issues the computer will need to be evaluated in person by a Old Town Joe Computers technician.

SERVICE WARRANTIES

1. • Services performed by Old Town Joe Computers do not carry any warranty unless otherwise stated on the final service ticket.

2. • Telephone support is provided to all Old Town Joe Computers customers within reason. However, to properly diagnose and repair most computer issues the computer will need to be evaluated in person by a Old Town Joe Computers technician.

ALL TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN THE CUSTOMER AND OLD TOWN JOE COMPUTERS ARE AT THE CUSTOMER’S RISK. WE ASSUME ALL CUSTOMERS HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF OUR COMPANY POLICIES, AND ARE IN FULL AGREEMENT WITH SUCH POLICIES PRIOR TO ENTERING INTO ANY TRANSACTIONS WITH OLD TOWN JOE COMPUTERSAND/OR ITS AFFILIATES.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OLD TOWN JOE COMPUTERS PRIDES ITSELF ON BEING A POSITIVE ENERGY BASED COMPANY. UNFORTUNATELY, IT’S NECESSARY FOR OUR PROTECTION AND THE PROTECTION OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO CREATE POLICIES LIKE THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE. HOWEVER, OUR FOCUS IS TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE BEST COMPUTER SERVICES AVAILABLE. IT’S JUST THAT SIMPLE.
